What? This is a family-friendly event that helps raise support for all that happens at Daystar including individual & group counseling for children. Families & friends of any age hike a 1.6 mile scenic route with surprises and adventures along the way. Riders 16 years and older bike 20 or 40 miles along the Natchez Trace.
Why? Daystar is committed to offering counseling to any family that walks through our doors regardless of their ability to pay. We have a $75,000 fundraising goal this fall to support our sliding scale. This allows us to serve over 1,600 clients annually at one what little boy called "the little yellow house that helps people."
How? Kids, families & friends of Daystar ride, hike & fundraise! This is the one time of year our kids get to help give back and invite others to be a part of what Daystar is doing.
Can't make it? Sponsor your favorite staff member! Everyone on the Daystar staff rides & competes in a fierce fundraising competition...Help your counselor win!!!
YOU are an important part of our team. We challenge each biker and hiker to raise $1,000 in sponsorships and win a famous "Aunt Robbie" cake! To gear up for the big day, get creative with your fundraising! We've seen some of the most FUN fundraising around. Prizes will be awarded for top fundraisers at our celebration following the ride & hike...
Tell people why you love Daystar! Write letters or emails to family & friends asking them to sponsor you. Make personal calls to share with others what you're doing & why. Share on your social media. Get your community involved!
Bring out your creative side! Sell handmade art, host a bake sale, start a lemonade stand and let others know your proceeds are going to a great cause.
Offer a service your neighborhood or friends would like. Do a car wash, mow lawns, garden and ask for a donation as your payment!
Go door to door in your neighborhood & see how many sponsorships you can get...Small donations add up quickly!
You're almost there! Keep going!!!
